# Grok Imagine Image 1.0

Generate and edit images using Grok Imagine Image 1.0, the speed-focused Grok image model. The API produces exactly one output image per task.

  This model was renamed from `xai/grok-imagine-image` to `xai/grok-imagine-1.0-image`. The old key keeps working until **2026-11-17** and is disabled after that date — switch to `xai/grok-imagine-1.0-image` before then. Parameters and prices are unchanged.

  Text-to-image and image-edit requests each generate exactly **one image**. The generation count is fixed and cannot be changed by callers.

  Providing `image_urls` changes the operation to image editing but does **not** switch models. For higher quality, select [Grok Imagine 2.0 Image](/models/image/xai/grok-imagine-2.0-image) (`xai/grok-imagine-2.0-image`) explicitly.
