# Topaz Starlight HQ

> Generative enhancement for clean, modern, high-resolution video with Topaz Starlight HQ. See parameters, pricing, and API examples.

Generative enhancement tuned for clean, modern video. Instead of repairing damage, it adds high-quality detail to footage that is already decent, from 480p up to 4K sources.

## When to use

* **Your footage is already good** (modern camera, clean phone video, sharp AI video) and you want it crisper or in 4K.
* Upscaling 1080p or 1440p content to native-looking 4K.

**Pick something else when:**

* The footage is old, blurry, noisy, or compressed: use [Starlight Fast 2](/models/video/topaz-labs/starlight-fast-2) or [Precise 2.6](/models/video/topaz-labs/starlight-precise-2.6). HQ is not a repair model.

  Billed per second of the input video, counted at 30 fps: a 60 fps upload counts double and a 24 fps upload 0.8x, because every source frame is processed. Output `fps` does not change the price. `1440p` and `4k` use the 4K rate.

## Parameters

| `nsfw_check` | boolean | No | `true` | Check uploaded media inputs for NSFW content |
