# Grok Imagine 1.0 Video Extend

> Extend any video given by URL with xAI Grok Imagine on the classic 1.0 video model. See parameters, pricing, and API examples.

Continue any video by URL using xAI's classic Grok Imagine video model (the 1.0 generation, the only model xAI runs on its extension endpoint). Provide the public URL of the clip, describe what happens next, and choose how many seconds of new video to add. Output is capped at 720p.

  This model takes a **`video_url`** and works on any video, including output from [Grok Imagine 1.5 Video](/models/video/xai/grok-imagine-1.5-video) and [Grok Imagine 1.5 Lite Video](/models/video/xai/grok-imagine-1.5-lite-video). [Grok Imagine 1.5 Fast Video Extend](/models/video/xai/grok-imagine-video-extend) (`xai/grok-imagine-1.5-fast-video-extend`) takes a **`task_id`** instead, only accepts tasks from `xai/grok-imagine-1.5-fast-video`, and continues them on the 1.5 engine.
